What's Growing
As we move into the summer months, you’ll start to notice lots more activity in the garden as our new contractors get underway. Their first focus will be on tidying, clearing, and giving the space some much-needed attention.
We feel the garden has experienced a little neglect over the years, but with the support of our new contractors and the fantastic community garden events, positive changes are already beginning. We’re excited about the improvements ahead and look forward to seeing the garden become an even more pleasurable space for everyone "for all time coming"
Garden News
Our Leylandii trees are currently under review by Edinburgh City Council as part of a high hedge notice process. Due to an council administrative issue, the process has had to be restarted, which will delay the decision outcome
We’ll keep you updated with any developments as soon as we have more information.
Other News
As part of exploring the garden’s history, we’ve uncovered some interesting documents from 1989 relating to its management. At that time, the committee sought legal advice from a King's Counsel (then known as a Queen’s Counsel).
